Ruth AlisonROGERSPassed away peacefully in St. Luke's Hospice, Plymouth, on July 4th 2016, aged 65 years. Of West Looe, Cornwall and formerly of Urmston. Dearly loved wife of Graeme, loving mother of Gareth, dear mother-in-law of Tracey, treasured grandmother of Caitlin. Service at Christ Church, Davyhulme on Thursday 21st July at 10.00am prior to interment at Stretford Cemetery at 12.00 noon. Wake to follow shortly afterwards at Christ Church Parish Hall, next to the church. Please do not feel obliged to wear black, Ruth's wishes were for this to be a colourful occasion. Scouters to wear Scout uniform if possible. Victoria Park, past and present - green/gold (School Colours), Football Fans (Manchester Utd or FC United only) - red/black. Family flowers only please, donations if desired to St. Luke's Hospice c/o R. Pepperdine & Sons Ltd., 5 Manchester Road, Chorlton, Manchester M21 9JG. Tel: 0161 881 5363.

Mrs Rogers in the only teacher that touched my life between 1980-1983 she got me through Vicky park. Very sad news. Shame I never got to thank her for always making sure I was alright. Lisa Mooney

You were the best teacher that ever was. You introduced us to your son when he was born and I still remember being in that classroom when you brought him in. You were kind and caring but never let anyone take advantage.
